new television – eep!

Look what we just bought!
Well, we don’t have it yet – it’s going to be delivered on Tuesday.
Courtesy of our big translation job. Not bad for one job – a trip to Lisbon, a 32″ flat screen television and a hopefully debt-free summer (I usually always go into debt during the summer as there is next to no teaching work). But that’ll be the end of this recent spate of retail therapy madness.
Quite looking forward to seeing House on the BIG SCREEN.

Old fashion TV sets are, at least the cats in the Lair think so
Are you kiddin’? Da boyz are waaay too lazy to leap as high as the top of the television set. Which is fortunate because the TV I have now is sitting on top of a metal beer keg (borrowed from my friend’s bar down the road about 12 years ago) and they might knock it off.
Not sure what we’re going to put the new one on but I sure am going to miss that beer keg.
Gosh – big, isn’t it?
I have a feeling we’ll soon get used to it.
The sizes seem to go 26-32-37-40-42…
As the present television has a 21″ screen it didn’t make sense to spend a whole whack o’ money for just a slightly larger 26″ one.
And the tenants next door are looking forward to upgrading their present 14″ TV, which one of them can then use in their bedroom.
See? Recycling too!
It’s arrived. Set up and functioning. Woohoo!

Well, I’m certainly keeping up my end of the deal!
Especially enjoying the boxed set of House 1st Season DVDs we picked up at FNAC the other day.
