foley & murphy revisited

Remember these guys?

Well, they are growing up fast, as you can see here in my “gatos amigos” fotki album.

Here is some Wiki information on Ragdolls and a link to the Ragdoll breeder where Sara & Steve bought the boys (if you go to ‘our boys’ and scroll down, Tam is their dad). Foley is a blue mitted, and Murphy a blue colourpoint.

I’ll be adding new pics to the album as I receive them.

Hi Trojan! Unfortunately these two young whippersnappers aren’t mine, but I do hope to get to visit them soon.

Suddenly I just feel like I need to rub a furry tummy. What a sweet pair.

I find they look especially cute when they’ve just p*ss*d on your bed. Not.

But they’re not bad furfles (a word invented by my mother because she couldn’t remember their names). Not really.

Why do they pee on your bed? That’s weird. Though I find that Sunny enjoys peeing on any stray laundry that gets left on the bedroom floor, and sometimes on the bathmat if I forget to drape it over the side of the bathtub. Bastard.

Sunny also shreds the corners of my bedsheets to ribbons. I only replace them when there are actually no corners left.

Meanwhile, Azar has ripped the underside of the bed to shreds, so he’s no angel. But as he only has one usable “shredder” his damage capabilities are somewhat limited.

Just goes to show, you shouldn’t have cats if you place any importance on the state of your soft furnishings. Or if you care about being constantly covered in cat hair.

Are the boys really as floppy as they look?

I have one laundry pi$$er and one bed pi$$er. The bed cat, a purebred Bengal, seems to do it out of pique or territoriality; it’s the guest bed she likes, so it’s covered with plastic sheeting and old towels till we find a way to break the habit and the laundry guy is so old that — well, he only ever does dirty laundry anyway. At his age he’s entitled.

We think it’s a stress thing, to be honest. They now just don’t get to go in the bedroom. We’ll see if being done has any affect once all the hormones have died down.

And yes they really are that floppy – hence the name Ragdoll. As I write this Murphy is flopped across me, a position he seems to find very relaxing.
