holiday az

This is my last full day of my holidays and I realised I haven’t posted even one holiday photo of me (other than my feet). So this is one that Nog took yesterday evening as we were sitting on the rooftop bar having cocktails and waiting to watch the sunset.

Nog got here yesterday morning and is going back to Seville later on today, and Agustín will be coming to pick me up tomorrow afternoon to take me home. It’s sure been an interesting ten days and I’ve had a really nice break, but I am quite looking forward to snibbling my boys tomorrow and also getting into my new routine. After all this time being sick I feel I’m more than ready to take my life back from cancer and start working on all the projects that have been on hold for so long.

Sure did love my holidays though. It’s the best August I’ve ever had!

Thanks again to everyone who made this summer of healing possible.

You look refreshed and happy, as one should after holidays. I’m “off” for my own little sort of holiday, it should be interesting to see how this retreat is. Already I can see it will be difficult to stay away from the internet.

Your cats will be very happy to see you, once they get over being miffed at your abandonment of them.

Ufff, Nog & I went out for a walk late this morning to bathe our feet in the sea … ended up walking all the way to the village (45 min) along the beach. Got there and went to have a cold beer on the Gran Sol Hotel terrace. But what to do next? Stay in the pueblo and have lunch there, or walk back and look for somewhere to eat near the apartment?

We decided to walk back, as Nog still wasn’t sure if he’d be getting the 5 or 8 o’clock bus back to Sevilla. By the time we got close to home we were so knackered that we stopped at the nearest chiringuito to have another cold beer and ended up staying there to have lunch. It was the one beach bar recommended by Agustín and OMG the food was incredible! Food pics to follow soon (though if you’re following SevillaTapas on Twitter you’ll have already seen them).

So now we are just vegging back at the apartment with the air conditioning on … so comfy and peaceful. I’m going through my Zahara photos and Nog keeps nodding off on the sofa. I’m glad he came because we did some stuff I probably wouldn’t have done on my own, and it was nice sharing meals and showing him “my Zahara”. We’re both hoping that every now and then Agustín will let us come out here for a weekend getaway.

First Málaga and now Zahara. I truly am blessed with friends.

What a luminous, lovely face. Your feline family must miss it so.

Yeah, that’s my margarita at sunset face. :)

I am missing my feline family like crazy, Anne. Really can’t wait to see them tomorrow.

It has been good for me, Puddock. And I think I will notice this more once I am home again.

My dear Az, lloro de alegría, I feel a kind of relief reading your words. I´m so happy for that. I haven´t been able to come this summer here, I´ve thought of you many times. I´m really glad, it seems that you are back to normal life!! My summer has been a bit hard, mi madre murió, but it´s ok, she was really bad. It was the best for her. But dear, I haven´t come here to show a sombre face, on the contrary, Me alegro muchísimo de verte así, so pretty and sonriente.
    Un abrazo fuerte
    María

Hola Mar – cuanto tiempo! Siento por tu madre, pero como tú has dicho, como estaba sufriendo mucho es mejor así. *hugs*

We will have to meet in Granada one day, okay? You can give me a tapas tour.

I think that’s a really lovely photo, and judging by the comments everyone agrees with me.

    Back home now with cats.

    Thanks Az,
of course, honey! Me encantaría. Tapas in Granada are free and scandalous!
I need to do a “research” around Madrid capital. YOu´ll come some day, I hope. Here in Villalba there are a few places, but nothing special.
I´ve got a spare room for you two. Don´t forget.
    Un abrazo,
    Mar
