tied 1

Today’s Photohunter theme is “tied”.

Since I don’t tie up my cats (though I sometimes have to bundle them in a towel to give them oral meds) my thoughts naturally moved on to tied-up food. Last winter I started making roasted chickens on a regular basis – wonderful comfort food. This was the first one.

You can see the untied version below …

See, this is why I don’t do this photohunt thing.

Some of my high school buddies once delivered my then boyfriend to my door hogtied and lashed to the porch railing for good measure. The things I would think of to put up.

Great-looking bird, but brussels sprouts! The anti-comfort food…

Oh, yum! I was already a bit peckish before I saw the picture but now that I have… ;b

i’d prefer this than tied up cats.

I agree. It’s just that almost all of my Photohunt pics include either cats or food, so those are the two options that come to me first when I think about the week’s theme. But Sparkle actually did a good job of cat tying in her pic.

Good take on the theme. And perfect for the season since it will soon be Thanksgiving in the US. And it looks delish!

Ooh, yum! I love roast chicken but I usually buy one because a whole roast chicken only costs about $6 from our local supermarket. I wonder if the taste compares, though.

BTW My PhotoHunt entry is up, hope you can drop by!

Oh… Great… I tune in AGAIN when I am hungry and food if front and centre. I am Elvis-sitting, so my contribution will have to wait until later, today.

    Delicious take on the theme!!!

I never tie my chicken before I cook it, but when I buy it pre-cooked from the store it’s always tied.

  18. October 25, 2009 12:45 am

I’ll go for the chicken, but no sprouts for me thanks.

  19. October 25, 2009 3:34 am

I was tied up going to a recital in Cape Girardeau, so I didn’t play this week. I love your entry though, makes me want to eat something RIGHT NOW. I even think the brussels sprouts look delicious.

That’s one juicy roasted chicken! Yum! Nice take on this week’s theme.
