what beatles song are you?

March 12, 2010
You Are Helter Skelter

You are loud, rebellious, and prone to make a bit of a scene.

You have major problems with authority. You hate being told what to do.

You are independent and adventurous. Life is a wild ride, and you aren’t afraid to jump on the roller coaster.

You are outrageous, honest, and sometimes shocking. You say what you feel and expect the same of others.

Heh. Well, they got the hippie part right:

You Are “All You Need is Love”

You are compassionate, kind, and giving. You truly believe that love can heal the world.
In some ways, you are a bit of hippie. You think that peace is still very undervalued in this world.

You feel like people make life too complex. Happiness is often as simple as just allowing yourself to be happy.
There isn’t much people really need in this life. If you’re truly loved, then you’re lucky.

Didn’t finish my comment there, damned computers…

Did you think yours was pretty right on for one of these dumb quizzes? It sounded like you to me, at least the you that exists as the online persona that I know and love.

Dumb quizzes??? These are all scientifically based and thoroughly researched! Dumb quizzes indeed…

Yeah, mine was pretty right on (man) except for the being loud and making a scene bits. It sounds totally like Raincoaster though, who I am convinced is my evil twin.

    I’m Across the Universe

You are spiritual, deep, and at peace. You try to keep life in perspective.
You can’t help but realize how small you are in the universe. You’re just thankful you exist.

You tend to be a stream of consciousness thinker. You just let your thoughts flow, even when they don’t make sense initially.
You trust your intuition to guide you. You know that whatever is in your heart is right and true.

I am Yesterday…although yesterday wasn’t to good of a day for me with the gastroenteritis all thay…

You are honest and humble. You can look at yourself objectively, even when it’s difficult.
Every day you try a little bit harder to be a better person. It’s the best you can do.

In the other parts I can’t see myself.

    “all you need is love”

    Dunno…

    I got “Yesterday.”

    You Are “Yesterday”
You are reflective, nostalgic, and even a bit melancholy. You can’t help but wish for better days.
You believe that sometimes you can’t appreciate what you’ve got until it’s gone. Life is bittersweet.

You are honest and humble. You can look at yourself objectively, even when it’s difficult.
Every day you try a little bit harder to be a better person. It’s the best you can do.

I guess that more-or-less describes me, though not an image I like to project of myself. (Sounds a bit too “emo.” I like to think of myself as more fun and interesting than that.) (Yeah, I’m humble.)

“Across the Universe.” I had to fake about the bands because I don’t know one from another, and as for going back to the 60s, um, been there done that…

Across the Universe is actually one of my most favourite Beatles songs ever, but that blurb doesn’t really work for me other than the intuition bit.

Another ‘Yesterday’ for me – but my current favourite song of theirs is ‘Blackbird’..

  10. March 12, 2010 7:46 pm

Me and sledpress are sisters under the skin, I swear. I had to fake the bands also, and I, um, withessed them in person myself, except for Woodstock which doesn’t interest me in the slightest not being that in love with mudholes. The blurb actually described me quite well, which astonished me.

I was going to have a huge cow if they named me as Eleanor Rigby. . . All the time I was in college and in my twenties whenever I was introduced to people as “Eleanor” their immediate comeback was “Oh, Eleanor Rigby?” Considering the rather depressing nature of that song and the character so named, I was not amused or flattered.

Of course, that was a hell of a lot better than the Ellie Mae Clampett response I got from being Ellie. Geez. People. Get with the picture.

Well we are in the same racket, even if you’re Good Cop and I’m Bad Cop…

I’m All you need is Love, but I think I should be Strawberry Fields. Or possibly When I’m 64….

What a cool quiz! I am Let it Be…

You are philosophical, balanced, and wise. You try not to worry about things you can’t change.
You can let go and find peace in troubling times. You believe in controlling what’s on the inside.

You know that you can’t create or predict the future. You just have to let it unfold.
The answer will eventually come to you. All you have to do is wait.
