Today’s Photohunt theme is “fresh”.
And here we have some freshly baked kittens! Just a few hours old.

You can see them “even fresher” below the links,
but don’t click if you are overly squeamish…

Awwwww. Hard to believe one of them became Sunny. Sweet pics, thanks for sharing.
I love that Sunny and his siblings were born into a soft white pillowy world, unlike Azar and Loki who were both born in the street. Azar was actually quite well taken care of by his mother (and I was there to feed the mother every day, and later, the kittens too) but Loki and his two brothers were found soaking wet and half-starved in a piece of old drainpipe, apparently abandoned by their mother.
Azar and Loki are tearing around the apartment chasing each other as I write this. Makes me smile.
Nothing like the smell of fresh kittens… Siggghhhh…

Well, Lua being Lua, I really wasn’t sure how she would take to me touching her babies. But after she got them cleaned up I threw away the “birthing pillow” and transferred them to a clean duvet and she was totally fine about me cuddling them. It was amazing, picking them up one at a time. Soooo tiny and perfect.
Ohhhh, gatitos!!
Cute.
Happy weekend
fresh
I’ve never seen newborn kittens in real life. Those are lovely but I bet they were even lovelier a week or so later…..
Once they started walking and playing they were too adorable for words…

How cute. Almost makes me want a kitten – almost, except I’m allergic. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Certainly a FRESH look at this week’s theme. If you want to get FRESH with me this week check mine here.
