Today’s Photohunt theme is “mostly black”.
Another tough one… 
Here is Azar having a snooze at the foot of my bed – photo taken on my iPhone about five minutes ago. You can see in the morning sunlight that he is actually mostly black with dark sable highlights.

What a pretty cat he is – and it looks like a lovely day over there in Seville
He looks very similar in colour to my dog. When the sun shines on him he takes on a slightly reddish glow in places.
It’s peeing down here in the west midlands of England. I don’t particularly like the heat, but I really could do with some sunshine.

I have a very similar picture to this – of my parents’ cat – she is about the same colour and sleeping on a similar bedspread!
If you have a black cat as a pet, does it mean it’s no longer bad luck when it crosses your path?

Both words have arabic roots…
azar = luck, chance or happenstance
azahar = orange blossom
And they have a similar pronunciation…
azar = [a - THAR]
azahar = [a - THAAR]
I chose his name because of the way we met and the reason I ended up taking him in. Pure happenstance.

I always mispronounce your name AND Azar’s name with the ‘z’ sound intact. And I always feel a little guilty. Shawn I can handle.
What a lazy puss! There are strings to be chased, mice to terrify and food to be demanded
I’ll have you know he’d just finished a rather hefty breakfast and was clearly in need of a nap after all that exertion.
Such a content little furry one! I am sure I see a “Do Not Disturb” sign lurking there!
And sleeping so soundly…. shhhhhh!
We will be quiet so as not to wake him up!
