Twitter pal Abigail King found this little guy plus its all black sibling on her doorstep today. Says they’re both about the size of her hand. They need a home. I have extra space. Okay, I wouldn’t take both, but maybe the all black one…?

Take it from me: Four isn’t any worse than three and three isn’t any worse than two, and if you have the two little ones, they’ll keep each other occupied. Running up and down the stairs and climbing your new curtains. Okay, the cat box is worse with 3 or 4, but everything else is better. :)

Might give Azar a rest from being rassled by Loki…

Poor BABIES! Do it! Remember to get them checked out before putting them in contact with your guys… Even little babies can have FIV, etc.

I second this, and add something to my first comment … cat boxes AND vet bills.
Still, if they’re healthy, it WOULD give Azar a break. Probably.

You really would like to have a word or two with the people who discarded the first cat… It’s so cruel and irresponsible to just let cats out and fend for themselves. They don’t. They get ill, starve, die and have offspring that are forced to live the same unworthy life.

Those kittens should be with their cat mum for quite some time. Kittens need to be socialised at least twelve weeks before they’re to leave home. Our cat shelters are very strict about that.

I thought four cats was a piece of cake – and then the fifth came. A four year old female who had been a solitary cat all her life, and was scared – in a very aggressive way – for other cats. It was tough, and eventually three of the cats moved in with my daughter and peace was somewhat restored. Occasionally all five are here – as they have been the last week – and I’m all scratches and bruises from keeping two of them apart.

Abi just found the kittens on her doorstep, so there’s no telling what happened to the mother.

After calling the vet it was recommended that she take the kittens to a shelter as they needed syringe feeding and special care otherwise they probably wouldn’t make it through the night. I was out on a tapas tour and by the time I got back in touch with Abi she’d already taken the little guys to the shelter near her home.

So I guess it wasn’t meant to be. But I’ve had the feeling lately that another kitten might be coming into my life soon…

If those kittens haven’t had ample time with the mama cat, a shelter is likely the best option.

I agree, Mr. A. They might not even have been properly litter trained yet.

You don’t really have to litter train cats. You put down a box and they say “Wow! Diggy stuff!” The rest does itself, in my experience.

They are so sweet. How can you resist? :)

Waaaaay more tempting than any angry birds, that’s for sure! ;)
