Director Tom Jenkins uses Google StreetView to create a beautiful stop motion animated short film.

“A lonely desk toy that longs for escape from the dark confines of the office, so he takes a cross country road trip to the Pacific Coast in the only way he can – using a toy car and Google Maps Street View.”

    I have always felt so strongly for lonely toys (sometimes I feel kids shouldn’t be trusted with the feelings of toys, and now I guess I have to include adults too!)

    Seriously, it made me sniffle.

    I actually find myself doing just that (minus the car and the miniaturized special effects crew) with google Maps.
