We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called “Opportunity” and its first chapter is New Year’s Day. Happy New Year ♥♥♥

It’s a good day to brush the dogs. And I’m baking another loaf of bread. Other than that we have a quiet day planned. We’re going to work on a new mosaic bird.
Sounds perfect. I’m quite excited that Shaun of the Dead is going to be on TV at 2.30, just in time for lunchtime viewing.
Happy new year! It’s not raining today so this afternoon I’m taking the dog for a long walk. I can’t go until this afternoon as I’m dog-sitting my brother’s dog and I can’t handle both of them, and I can’t leave one behind, so we can’t go out until I take her home around 2. Then later I’ll be preparing prawn cocktail, roast lamb and all the trimmings and strawberry gateau for my mum & stepdad.
Soon I’m going to be lunching on the surprisingly good brocolli & stilton soup I made yesterday.
Anything with stilton has gotta be good. I’m BBQing pork ribs and several types of sausage. Will be served with salad and peppercorn basmati rice.
You & Deb are both making my mouth water … I haven’t planned a special meal as we are hoping to replace our rusty & somewhat delapidated small chest freezer in the sales so need to work our way through its current contents! A rooftop BBQ is definitely not on our agenda, either! Love the photo … very evocative for the end of one year rolling over into a new year. Hope 2013 is a good year for you & Peter ……..
