In bed with flu.
It’s been a long time since I was sick enough with anything that I had to take to my bed.
Hope I’ll be feeling better in the morning as I have a Market & Tapas tour planned. Also, I think it would do me good to walk around a bit. Staying in bed does my back in. And I’m no longer contageous at this point, right?

If it really is ‘flu – you need to take it easy – not that you’ll have much choice!

Ow, ugh! Get well quickly. Peter may need to do that tour!
I only had flu once in my life — but I found that frequent hot showers did lots to ease the pain and clear the congestion.

Yeah, not sure if it really is THE flu that’s been going around. I’ve also only ever had flu once in my life, about 15 years ago, and I thought I was going to die. I actually forced myself to go out yesterday morning and take out a Market & Tapas Tour. I have no idea how I got through it. Ears were ringing, vision was blurry, everything ached, felt nauseous, and was sweating buckets. But unfortunately Peter isn’t bringing in enough money to support himself, and there have been very few tours this and last month, so I had no choice. Got home at 2.30, fell straight into bed and that was it.
This morning I finally managed to get out of bed around 12.30 for a much-needed shower and I think after about an hour at the laptop to take care of some business I’ll be heading back to warm duvet comfort. Of course so much time in bed has really done a number on my lower back (right hip area). On the bright side I may end up losing the extra kilos I put on over Christmas…
Right, time to answer some emails. x
