And this is my favourite button in the world: nácar salvaje (wild mother of pearl).
All beautifully imperfect and slightly different hues, from the sea.

I wish I had managed to get such a good photo of my cuff links, but it wasn’t meant to be.
Yours is brilliant.
Beautiful shot! You didi a nice job of capturing the varied colors and the irridescence. So pretty! I have a big pile of mother of pearl buttons that were from my grandmother’s house, but they are mostly the cream-colored variety.
The colours of mother-of-pearl are so seductive. I can remember when everyone wanted it as their button of choice. and then plastics ruined the world
