These are rather pleasantly addictive (I wonder if I can do them on my iPhone?). National Geographic online jigsaw puzzles made from outstanding reader-submitted photos. Turn up the volume so you can hear that satisfying sound when your pieces “click” into place.

Thanks bunches for introducing this time waster. I don’t have enough ways to waste time online, you know.

I just did one of these. My wife is working on a thousand piece puzzle. She always has one going in the library. My father is a huge puzzle builder too.
These are my speed. I enjoyed this.

These are my speed too. I think I’m more of an immediate gratification kinda gal. And the photos are wonderful.

These jigsaw puzzles are really keeping me busy, 10x for the link !
but there’s nothing like the “real” jigsaw puzzles where your mind can fly away and you’re not getting MSN messages in the middle of the puzzles 🙂

Hi Rendevous, and welcome.
Yes, these puzzles are quite addictive. And they are always adding new picture. My friend Flor has recently got hooked on them and is also timing herself.
Maybe not quite like the real thing, but definitely tider and the cats can’t get at the pieces. 🙂

Oh, and I can now answer the question I asked in the original post. There are now iPhone apps for these puzzles, but you have to pay for them. Not much, about 1 euro, I think. But for now I have enough to play with on my iPhone.
