Today’s Photohunter theme is “painted”.
Morocco’s famous “blue village”, Asilah, is a slow and friendly place with a colourful Medina that caters mostly to Moroccan tourists. During the month of August, artists from around the world come to Asilah and paint wonderful murals on the white walls throughout the medina. This is a pic I took of my friend Susan (aka Pipocas) in front of one of the painted walls when we went to Morocco last February.

Possible side effectsXeloda (aka capecitabine) is the oral chemo I take during the two weeks following my 2 1/2 hour chemo infusions (capecitabine plus oxaliplatin) at the hospital. Taken in the morning and in the evening. I have my iPhone set to remind me at 10am and 10pm to take my pills. And I really really really hate this stuff. I mean, check out the possible side effects. BUT, as long as I can handle it I’m going to continue. I’ve heard that the symptoms get worse as you go – last summer I just had three sessions so I didn’t get to the breaking point some people I know have reached. And who knows, maybe I won’t because everyone responds differently to meds. But I gag every time I have to swallow these fuckers because I know they are doing terrible things to me. Let’s just hope they are also doing terrible things to the cancer cells so that going through all this ends up being worth it.
Round three of chemo today. Bleh.

Remember when I got the coolstand for Sexy Beast? Well, it occurred to me that I would have to get something similar for Shadow before it starts getting too hot here. Then I saw these little technogel feet over at Fnac that only cost 9€ and come in a variety of colours, and so I chose orange to go with the desktop oranges. Since Shadow is a lot more mobile than SB and doesn’t have his own desk these are the perfect solution. They can be easily removed and reattached (for travelling) and provide enough extra air space so that Shadow shouldn’t overheat when it’s 45º inside casa az … and they’re cute.
