It snowed here yesterday for the first time in over 55 years.
I stayed inside under the duvet.

Had a lovely time out last night. Some of you may remember that when I was in Asilah with Susan last year we met an artist in the Medina called Tachfin. He told us he was planning to have an exhibition of his work in Sevilla, which finally happened in December. I had been planning on going and, as usual, left it until the last night … and even then I almost didn’t go because of the cold and I was feeling so tired. But I’m very glad I made the effort because it was great seeing Tachfin again and meeting his ex-wife and good friend, Violeta. We had a few tapas at the Galería Taberna Anima (very cool venue) and chatted until quite late. Hoping to stay in touch with both of them. Oh, and Tachfin gave me one of his watercolours as a birthday present!
You can see some of Tachfin’s paintings below the links…

Today’s Photohunter theme is “bulky”.
And yes, I know that any photo of me would have sufficed, but this is “extra bulky” me in winter. Usual at-home wear December – February is short and long-sleeved t-shirts (one of each), nice warm bulky sweater, sweatpants, scarf, thick socks & fluffy slippers … and a bulky duvet. This is due to living in an old draughty apartment with no central heating. Of course, if I had a nice plush fur coat like Azar I wouldn’t need the extra bulk to keep warm.

When did the meaning of funky change from being super groovy like James Brown to meaning something gross and smelly? It’s awfully confusing, to say the least.
Which meaning do you use?
