i hadn’t realised before how similar your cats are to mine. zorro is all black and pablo is a chocolate burmese. and they are both staring wistfully up at me as i type and they were fed less than an hour ago!
Hi kyknoord and welcome! 🙂 (at least, I think this is your first visit to casa az). I was about to say that such hammy acting could never win an oscar but …
Juno bites, WC? Yikes. The most obnoxious these two get is either scratching the bedsheets next to my head or starting up a pathetic waily-waily dawn chorus just outside the bedroom door around 6.30 am.
Yes, they sure do the beseeching thang very well, don’t they Lori? Especially Sunny in the bottom photo. Some mornings I wake up because I can feel him staring at me.
“and i suspect the mirror gives them treats”
I suspect that’ll be Nog, daisy. I certainly never spoil them! 😉
Yes, it’s terrible how I starve them, dq. You can tell by the way Sunny’s belly sits on top of (and totally covers) his back feet.
How curious that your cats have Spanish names, nursemyra, and that we also have the same colour combination. Sunny is a Siamese/Burman mix – hence the white toes.
Are your cats ‘no more’, SG V or are they just living somewhere else?
Yeah, she’s a bossy boots. When in the kitchen preparing a meal, she is constantly underfoot, and yes, she swats me and nips my calves as I move around!
I once sent in a pic to LOLcats, Archie, but it was never published. Wrote about it here.
Goodness, WC, what a cheeky girl! Sounds like you need to start wearing tall rubber boots in the kitchen. I’ve never been able to break Azar of his gross licking habit. He’s usually quite happy sleeping on my head at night but sometimes he decides that my face needs a good cleaning … ewww!
Am I the only one who didn’t get FFE’s comment? Guardia Civil? Help?
Maybe FFE was making a Shrek reference: Puss-n-boots. But PnB has the *side* of his hat kicked up… anyway, he’s the only contemporary hat-wearing cat I am aware of.
Goodness, what a long memory you have, FFE. I vaguely remember that running joke, now that you mention it.
Meanwhile, I did visit Franco’s tomb once many years ago. It’s in a huge basilica that was built inside a mountain – Franco had it built using prisoners from the civil war, many of whom died during its construction.
But do they bite your ankles or swat your legs like mine does? A look is one thing; biting and swatting totally another…

In the dictionary, under ‘beseechingly’…that is where you found these pictures, non?

I guess they do. Cannot possibly do such a perfect “but we’re starving” look otherwise.
And I miss mine…

So, which one wears the patent leather hat with the front brim kicked up and back?

My cat lacks subtlety. She wakes me up in the moring by grabbing my eyelid with the claws on her left paw.

Guess it’s that crypto-fascist nostalgia . . . by the way, is Franco still dead?

Well, I did already mention the guardia civil …
Still dead? I reckon, though it’s been awhile since I visited his tomb.

It was a running joke on Saturday Night Live in the 1970’s when Franco died – no Spanish officials would confirm or deny he died when he did.

It’s quite a breathtaking structure.
