So there I was lying in bed during the wee hours and listening to the radio when an obvious cover version of Come Together came on. At first I thought “who the hell would have the nerve to do this!” and then I thought “hey, this actually sounds pretty good” and then “hey, I recognise that voice!” I had no idea this version existed. I think it’s fabby.

Someone mentioned this song on Twitter the other day and I thought “man, I haven’t heard that one in ages!”. It was one of my favourite songs ever when I was a kid. Once again, the 60’s background dancers just crack me up. Back then I wanted to be one so badly.

I love Shazam. The other day I was watching TV and didn’t hit the volume OFF button in time when the ads came on, which turned out to be a good thing. I can’t remember what the ad was about, but it used this music, which I knew I knew, except I couldn’t remember the name. So I grabbed my iPhone, turned on Shazam and… voilà!

This morning I was skimming through tweets and saw that Beth (@MrsMagoo) had just re-watched Jesus Christ Superstar and had also done the math. Thirty-eight years! Sheesh that made me feel old. And I was reminded of my favourite song from that musical, so here it is.
