My favourite food is popcorn.
Well okay, there are plenty of other favourites: steamed asparagus, gorgonzola cheese, fresh bread & butter, perfectly ripe conference pears, grilled garlicky mushrooms … but popcorn has always been a favourite.
What are some of yours?
I think it might be a really strong cheddar cheese with biscuits, and a glass of juice. My late-night snack of choice.

Need I say chocolate?
I also love pine nuts, almost anything with mozzarella on it, and my grandmother’s special soup with crusty, buttered bread.

Pizza. Have you tried spinach and feta? Yummy!
Popcorn with white cheddar and extra butter at the movies. It doesn’t taste the same at home!
And yes … dark chocolate. And coffee..
double tall nonfat nowhip halfsweet mocha. It’s fun to hear the baristas yell it out when it’s ready!

I’ve been a popcorn addict since I was 10!
After that, Thai chicken curry, chocolate, BBQ ribs…I’d better stop, I’m on a fast before going to the vampires in the morning.

I think I must be the only woman I know who doesn’t really care for chocolate.
But I couldn’t (happily) live without buttery salted popcorn. Don’t like any other kind.

I don’t particularly like chocolate, either, although I do occasionally eat treats with chocolate chips or frosting… and about once a year have a mug of hot drinking chocolate.
Favorite foods include vegetarian spring rolls, Pad Thai with tofu, aloo paratha, steamed edamame, baked squash (no butter), blue cheese stuffed green olives, and whole wheat pasta with basil marinara.

For me chocolate is a seasonal food. Every year when the cold weather starts I suddenly want chocolate. But most of the time I hardly eat it at all.

We are coming into the season for Port served with Stilton, one of my favourite Christmas treats.

maybe not favourite food but cravings…
…choc, sweets and peanuts…
specically during present circumstances,a rapidly approaching deadline and increasing panic not not make it in time. Just bought a choc bar and a bag of lollies which I hope will help me to suvive the next hours.
When I was at Uni my consumption of sweets and peanuts always peaked the week befor an exam.

Ooh. Now. I don’t have a favourite food, as such…I have favourite foods
My death row meal is tarkadhal with a fried, boiled egg, topped with plenty of fried garlic, served with chillied greens and chapattis.
Psychocandy’s spring rolls have got me salivating…I remember the ones from a guy with a cart in Cambridge…and I really must post my pad thai recipe on Flaming Pie (watch that space).
Asparagus – yes, steamed is lovely…especially dipped in a soft-boiled egg…but the best way to serve it is to toss in some olive oil, springle with a little sea salt, then flash in an oven turned up to 11. Garnish with some shaved parmesan/pecorino/manchego and lemon wedges.

Edward, my oven only goes up to nine! How do I get it up to 11?

az, there’s chocolate and there’s chocolate! The best chocolate I’ve ever tasted was a 70% cocoa, dark chocolate bar from Lidl.

A well-roasted jesuit, sprinkled with parmesan and a little hypocrisy please.
If that is not available then a hot, buttered woman is always a good alternative for a bedtime snack.

Always here, but not always all there.

Mow you’ve gone and done it, az! I was perfectly happy giving up my popcorn addiction — but you just had to mention lovely hot buttered popcorn (but even fresh hot sans butter and salt is good!) and now I’ve gone and burned my stainless steel saucepan. 🙄

I forgot about hot bread and butter. Actually, my favorite food is food. Fresh food. Mmm. Must go eat now.
