Thanks to Mudhooks for sending me the link!
What are some of your favourite Christmas songs? And favourite versions? I have to say that Chrissy Hynde singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is one of my all-time favourites.
I’m listening to it right now! Thanks for the link!

I’ve just added a question about favourite Christmas songs to the original post, mentioning the Chrissie Hynde version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas as one of mine.
Other favourites include John Lennon’s Happy Christmas (War is Over) and The Christmas Song sung by Nat King Cole.
I also love the Grinch song and never knew until yesterday that it was sung by Burl Ives!

My favorite seasonal song is this: http://www.niehs.nih.gov/kids/lyrics/hippo.htm
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas,
Only a hippopotamus will do,
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses,
I only like hippopotamuses,
And hippopotamuses like me too!

That’s a first for me, hmh. 🙂
I also quite like the version of Baby It’s Cold Outside by Ella and Louis on the Christmas Radio link.

I’m fond of John Lennon’s “Happy Christmas”, and the David Bowie/Bing Crosby duet of “Little Drummer Boy”.
Hope everyone’s Christmas was Merry.
