I’m sure you’re also right that it would be better to discuss these things than let fundies “win” or at least think they’ve won because of a collective apathy.
This however is apathy-central – especially on this subject. I find it hard to believe that, as time goes by, the truth won’t become more and more evident to them.
And by “the truth” I don’t necessarily mean theism vs creationism vs intelligent design vs evolution etc.
Just that whatever your beliefs, and however strongly you hold them, you aren’t going to be able to convince everyone – and you won’t necessarily help your cause by trying.
