I’ve watched this about three times already – it totally cracks me up.

I couldn’t even decide if this was a parody or not. Ads are getting so edgy in the geek world. Except for that part about the camera.

That’s funny. I still really, really REALLY want one, though. Maybe for Christmas …. Oddly, I haven’t gotten all hyped up about the new iPhone. My kid sure did. Whew.
Do you guys have the new iOS4 for your 3G/3GS? You all probably had it 6 months ago. Just got mine this week. It doesn’t appear to be a whole lot different but the camera has a 5X zoom which is nice.

I’ve read that iOS4 is very buggy and in fact saw an article the other day about how to downgrade back to the previoius version, so I think I’ll stay put for now. The main issues seem to be about speed.
If the iPad had a USB port then I’d want it even more. Without it I don’t actually think it is worth the money. For 680 euros I could get a slender laptop that would be much more functional.

That was brilliant. It cracks me up, too.
(John got me one last month. I loves it.)

I have a Lenova S-10 and it has a lot more features than the ipad. The usb port, like you mentioned, is a huge one. Now I wish it was a tablet like the ipad. That I could go for.

If I want a small computer I’ll get a small computer. And it’ll run GNU/Linux. I’m never paying for software again (and I like the “free as in freedom” bit too). The iPad (and the iPhone) strike me as pointless. I don’t want a smartphone, and if I did I’d take Android.
(I do approve of the flash hatred, though.)
TRiG.

How dare you speak ill of my beloved iPhone!!!! Gotta say that it is the absoluteliest coolest gadget I own, and it is practical beyond belief. I use it ALL THE TIME and without it I wouldn’t be able to update my work blogs, send pics, etc. Love being able to go online, check email and all that when I’m not at home. And when I am at the hospital for various thises and thats, it helps keep me sane. My friend Anna has an Android. It’s probably just as good – I prefer the sleek iPhone design myself. But agree that the iPad has a ways to go before it’s more than just a cute toy.
FLASH be damned.
