Loki has been a bit annoying of late, always with his little mew and clamouring for attention (trust me, mew-mew-mew all the time stops being cute after a couple of hours). Then today I thought that he might be channelling Sunny again and so I got out Sunny’s stool, put it a safe distance from the electric heater and … Loki is suddenly as happy (and quiet) as a clam, sitting between me and Nog as we work away on a chilly Sunday afternoon.

Experts agree he looks blissed out…

Benjamin has been mewing away every morning because he wants out but I cannot for the life of me figure out where his harness is and he cannot go out without it. Plus, it is really early when he starts up, when Mom’s up but I am still abed. So Mom, forgetting my having told her every single morning that he is crying because he wants out but can’t go out…. etc., etc., etc….. call us wondering what he wants… waking me up if Benjamin’s mewing hasn’t already wakened me up.

you have the same heater as me. Thankfully, mine is back in the cupboard until next May.

I have to be so careful with that heater because the cats put their noses right up to it if I’m not sitting there beside it to stop them. But it’s better than the radiator or fan heater for just heating myself (and not the room).

I know how you feel… It wasn’t mewing this morning. It was Benjamin pushing the bedroom door open every minute or so or scratching at it. I was trying to get an hour’s-worth more sleep and Mom had the tv on downstairs. I left the door ajar for him but apparently “ajar” wasn’t good enough.
He would heave it open so it would bang against my jewellery-making cabinets. I would get up and close it and he would scratch from this side to get out. I would let him out and set it ajar and he would bang it open again…. Little bastard!

Benjamin certainly sounds more troublesome than Loki. Except for the bit where Loki gravity tested my new(ish) camera yesterday and broke it!

Well, he can be annoying when he chooses to be but generally, since he’s past the kitten-play-with-anything stage, he’s pretty laid-back. He just doesn’t choose his moments well.

Loki is still 24-hour non-stop turbo-charged kitten… except he’s ENORMOUS. Ah well, this too shall pass…

Heh heh…
Perhaps you could make a little money from Loki…
