I seem to be charitable too, although I don’t have a tree and have no intention of bothering with one. I just faked up my responses based on what I’d do if someone ordered me to decorate a tree.
Cats would take down any I had anyway, a la Simon’s.

No Christmas tree for us this year…Chloe and heat contributed to Swen’s death last year (our live tree we were trying to keep) and we are still in mourning.

If I had a tree, it would say this:

What a charitable lot you all are! I agree with Zeus about the 50/50 thing. Outdoorsy? Me? Do you think they mean tapas bar terraces?
I haven’t had a real tree since I lived in Toronto and for years just had a small cardboard cutout of a Victorian Christmas tree, which I still have but Loki won’t allow it to remain upright. As for my little wicker tree, I just happened across it by chance a few years ago and then a day or so later saw a small string of LED Christmas lights with pretty gold thread mesh and tiny red and transparent bobbles that was the *exact length* for my new little tree. A perfect match. Though this year I have to hide it away in Nog’s room every night… still, easier than if I had a real tree.

Seems I’m Charitable, too, accordong to this test. I did a crazy thing yesterday — I met a homeless woman in Starbucks (clean but definitely living rough), and I gave her my Starbucks card, so she could get something to eat until the money on it ran out — so, maybe I am. I was so close to being in her shoes, just a little over a year ago, that I will never be able to look “past” the homeless again. Besides, what’s Christmas for, anyway? 🙂

Who makes up these quizzes & what the answers are supposed to reveal?!!! For nearly 30 years, I had the same set of multi-coloured lights … the only ones you could buy at the time. Meanwhile, white lights became increasingly popular & by the time my original lights “died”, white lights were the only ones around so that’s what I bought … Hobson’s choice!! My first Christmas tree was a small artificial one … we lived in a small house … &, as was all the rage at the time, it was silvery white. When that became spindly & denuded, I decided to try a real tree for a few years but found it so messy, dropping needles all over the place, that I now have another fairly small artificial tree which is the most realistic looking one I could find! What does that say about me?!!!

Alison, I think it should be perfectly clear when taking these quizzes that they are scientifically researched and tested so that the results cannot ever be questioned or doubted. If your particular Christmas tree history is so variable that it doesn’t fit into the comprehensive category list then you are obviously some kind of Christmas tree freak and should seek help immediately.
Either that or get a bigger house. Hohoho… 😛

Hohoho … actually, we do now live in a larger house than when we were first married … or indeed since I bought our most recent Christmas tree … but I’m too much of a skinflint to replace it until I need to!!!

Did you actually take the quiz?

Yes, on the basis of what we currently have – white lights, artificial tree with an angel on top & a mixture of all sorts of decorations collected over the years, 50% being handmade!! No-one else has got a tree quite like ours! Apparently, I’m serene … I’ll leave you to judge that for yourself!
