One of the bonuses of getting yesterday’s PET scan done out in the Cartuja is that afterwards María Paz and I decided to walk back to the centre and had a great time discovering some quite nice “relics” from the 1992 EXPO. It’s mostly quite ghost-townish out there, with most of the old pavillions taken over as office space. But as you can see, it was a beautiful blue sunshiny day and this is some of what we saw.
When do you get results?

Lovely shots. Looks like a nice place to spend a few hours.

Love the Mudejar stuff – did you go to the Jardines del Guadalquivir? Full of Expo stuff. http://scribblerinseville.com/2011/06/01/todos-necesitamos-un-poco-de-color/

No, we talked about going there but didn’t have enough time. I’d like to see it!
The mudejar stuff is the Moroccan pavillion, now called the Three Cultures building.

Last time I was in Sevilla I took a bicibike during the evening and went to la cartuja. I ran into to bands who where rehearsing on the parking places. It were those church bands who play at the semana santa. It was really fun to watch.

You’d never know they actually practice, would you? 😉

I hope all goes well with the results…
What a sweet reminder of my former commute to work!

I forgot all about that! I’d never been to that part of the Caruja before, the PET place was near the Mexican pavillion.
