After a freak summer storm yesterday morning that included hail bouncing into my living room, we are back to beautiful blue skies and 40º temps. This is the hard part of summer because it doesn’t actually cool off overnight, might get down to about 25º, so you can imagine that sleeping can be difficult. I only use a fan overnight (no AC), which is mostly fine. But mid-July to mid-August in Sevilla are always the hottest. On the plus side my laundry dries in about 15 minutes…
How is it where you are?
The other day was 38C and EXTREMELY humid. Didn’t cool off until 2 days of nasty storms that sent patio furniture flying all over town…

Hey Mel! Great to hear from you. Yes, I have a friend who lives near you in Alexandria and her descriptions of the extreme heavy humidity there are almost poetic.
I remember when I lived in Toronto that 30º with HUMIDITY felt way worse than 42º here. It’s that whole clammy feeling like your skin can’t breath. Same when I go to Málaga. It might be 10 degrees cooler than here, but it feels worse because of the humidity.
Hope you’re well! xx

Hope you are well — and staying safe despite the re-openings. Hearing worrisome stuff about numbers in ES, honestly wondering how much of that was trafficked in from that petri dish called the UK…
Yeah, not fun, it’s in the mid-high 30s all week again and stupid humid. TO humid is not fun, but here it’s even worse. Not quite Memphis special but it’s bad because of the urban heat/steam. Ugh.
AC is life (sans Legionnaires of course…)
