Of course the irony is that it’s assumed that all male homosexual sexual activity includes sodomy – because it doesn’t.
Yet many heterosexual couples practice sodomy on a regular basis.
Yes, I agree with what you suggested on your blog, Rain, that Phelps is probably a closet case himself.
For some reason I am reminded of a documentary I saw many years ago about the Nazis who fled to Paraguay – at that time the documentary was made there was a whole colony of these guys still living there in the outback, in their own village. They had native slaves and somehow still considered themselves to be The Supreme Race.
Ever seen the film ‘Deliverance’? Well, compared to some of the inbred Oakies depicted there, the Oakies come out looking way more intelligent than these Supreme inbred beings did in that documentary.
They were well into the second generation at the time, lots of kids running around. But the totally stupid and dead look in the eyes of the people interviewed sent a shiver down my spine. Because they still believed they were The Superior Race. It was truly pathetic.
And that’s exactly what I see when I look at Phelps and his kin … total throwback human wastage maintaining they are somehow superior because ‘they know God’.
To say they totally disgust me doesn’t begin to cover my feelings towards them. But I would never lower myself to hate them – I reserve my hatred for those I feel are worthy of it. These people are simply scum matter … so self-righteous in their own hatred about things they could clearly never begin to understand.
Unfortunately I think the US president has more in common with this scum than he has so far been willing to admit.

Very apt analogy the deliverance clan and the Phelps clan. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. I say let them interbreed themselves out of existence.

Well, it was suggested by one of the clan that ‘all the fags’ should be rounded up and put in their own city. Surely it would be much simpler to ship the Phelps clan off to Paraguay?
I still don’t understand why they are allowed to do what they do. I’m all for free speech but isn’t promoting hatred in this vile manner against the law?
Nursemyra, I don’t know what the title of that documentary was – it was a very long time ago. I can’t even remember if I was in England or Canada when I saw it, but it was at least 15 years ago.
By the way, I read your comment on Rain’s post – very moving.
My parents, especially my father, would have fit right in with the Phelps clan, I’m ashamed to admit. I did end up learning a lot from their example, though not in the way they intended, I’m sure.
