Just finished painting! Yay!
Really wasn’t sure if we’d get round to painting the hallway before our holidays were over, but finally got it done with about ten hours to spare. And I even managed not to fall off the top of the rickety ladder (no small feat with these dizzy spells I’ve been getting).
Used to be I quite enjoyed painting but I seem to have lost my enthusiasm for it over the years. Now I just have to decide whether I’m going to clean the roller, brush and tray or just toss them like I usually do. Yeah I know it’s a waste but throwing them out now will at least save the in-between stage of having them soaking in the bidet for a week.
Gosh, what an interesting post. Must be Sunday. . .
I’ve been painting the office today, ready for middle girls transfer to grammar school. It’s now a homework room. Heh heh.
Oh, but the painting… it’s such a horrible job…

I think if I had a prep-person and a clean-up person I wouldn’t actually mind the painting bit…

I’m with you Az, its the before and after of the task that’s the pain. In fact, now that I think about it, that’s true of a lot of things!
What colour did you paint by the way?

White over white … so it was pretty easy. Basically a ‘freshening up’ thing. But a longish L-shaped hallway (our apartment is a corner one with three exterior rooms from each corner and the kitchen in the middle).
The only downside of painting white over white is you have to remember where you’ve just painted, especially when it’s 32º and the paint dries as soon as you roll it on.
Meanwhile, we’ve opted for the bidet soaking option while we decide the fate of the painting accoutrement…

Oh and just to say, gotta start up a gym where people climb up a rickety ladder about fifty times, with small weights in their hands, after which they wave weights about in an up-and-down manner, then go down again, put down weights and bend over to pick up weights again and go back up the ladder …
My upper back thighs and me bum felt soooo tight and painful yesterday after the painting workout… this is a good thing, right?
