We USUALLY have rain and freezing rain over Christmas. It rained listlessly for some time last night but not enough to wash away the snow we had. It is cold today and we had a light dusting of light snow over the frozen slush… so for the first time in many years we have a white Christmas with no rain!
A beautiful sunny day, too.
I am at my sister’s place and have my Skype and headphones all ready to go!
That sounds like we have just slush on our lawns… In fact, there is plenty of snow on the lawns and large snowbanks, and snow on the rooves…
It is actually quite lovely.
I also discover that “rooves” is not the correct word… We were taught that rooves is the plural of roof… but apparently it is the exception to the “plural rule”.
Bah, humbug! I’ve had way too much white, and it isn’t even Christmas for another hour. But cool version of the song.

I’m also prepared, just now with la Tebaldi singing “L’altro notte in fondo al mare” from “Mefistofele” in the headset.
