Today’s Photohunter theme is “chipped”.
(click on pic to enlarge)
Here are two photos taken when I was 15 that show my chipped front tooth. A couple of years previously I had been outside on a cold Winnipeg winter night trying to brush snow off the windscreen of the family car and somehow jumped up and slipped at the same time, my face smashing against the glass and breaking my front tooth.Β Both front teeth have long since been filed down so the chip is less noticable now.

Beautiful, with or without the chip!
I recently chipped a tooth, the front right. Since I can’t afford to go to the dentist, I just filed it down with my diamond-dust nail-file.

I’d have asked you to the dance if I’d been going to your school, y’know.

I never noticed that about you – and I notice teeth π
I had the same hair as you at 15 y/o – but didn’t have your lovely skin.

Yikes! My dentist offered to do the filing during a routine cleaning when I was about 23. He said if I got it capped it would not only be expensive but that tooth would always be weak. And hey, if Teuchter didn’t even notice then it mustn’t show much at all anymore (though I’m still aware of it).
I think we all had the same hair at 15, Teuchter. Mine was almost to my waist back then.
I was way too cool for school dances, ian. π

That was painful to even read about. π¦ But a very creative take on the theme.
Thankfully, my contribution didn’t involve any personal pain. I hope you’ll have a chance to stop by.

Now THAT is an unusual take on the theme. It helped make an interesting young lady, though.

So brave to have had your photo taken at 15! You have such a nice smile, I didn’t even notice anything chipped until I read your post.
I did Photo Hunters today, too. I hope you get a chance to visit.

It’s fun to see old photos of you, az, even chipped! (But, oh, that sounds like a painful incident. My teeth and face hurt in empathy.)

Hi Mick, and welcome! Hey everybody, make sure you check out Mick’s blog … it really is fabulous.
Mudhooks, that is a crazy blog. Have already passed on the link to other “Canadians of a certain age” for whom it may also bring back memories.
I was wondering when someone would resort to chips, zoomer. π

It actually didn’t hurt at all, alejna. But I remember lying awake that night as I kept running my tongue over my broken tooth and feeling like the world had ended. Nothing like teenage self-pity, is there?
