Had a lovely time out last night. Some of you may remember that when I was in Asilah with Susan last year we met an artist in the Medina called Tachfin. He told us he was planning to have an exhibition of his work in Sevilla, which finally happened in December. I had been planning on going and, as usual, left it until the last night … and even then I almost didn’t go because of the cold and I was feeling so tired. But I’m very glad I made the effort because it was great seeing Tachfin again and meeting his ex-wife and good friend, Violeta. We had a few tapas at the Galería Taberna Anima (very cool venue) and chatted until quite late. Hoping to stay in touch with both of them. Oh, and Tachfin gave me one of his watercolours as a birthday present!
You can see some of Tachfin’s paintings below the links…

It was a very pleasant evening, and I enjoyed meeting Tachfin and Violeta and seeing the exhibition. Unfortunately, I think I’m getting a bit old for such late nights, and I’m feeling a bit “under the weather” today. Good thing it’s Sunday.

You can avoid a lot of the “under the weather” feeling if you just make sure you stay hydrated during the evening. Drinking water is never a bad idea.
Glad you folks had a pleasant evening. We have been hunkering down and trying to stay warm. Not. I have been walking the dog on a regular basis, bundling up and trudging off through the woods in my obsessive quest to get the perfect sun on snow scene.

Wow, I really like those paintings! Also, great of him to give you a painting for your birthday, but you know you’re worth it! Hugs for your birthday, which I’m sure are just as good as if they were on the actual day.
