Ha! My buddy WeeRascal sent me a link to this new iPhone app yesterday, featuring Simon’s Cat. So I checked it out, saw it cost 1.59€ and wondered if it was worth it … then decided, what the heck. And the first image made me laugh out loud, so I reckon I’ve already got my money’s worth. 🙂
The app is actually quite fun and good timing too as I found out yesterday that I’m having a PET scan this morning (!). Things got a bit screwed up with my appointment (which was supposed to be for last week, instead they booked it for the 21st), and I finally got a call from Ricardo saying they had a cancellation and could squeeze me in today. So during the various waiting stages at the hospital I’ll have another toy to play with.
And speaking of cats that make me laugh, check out total look of indignant innocence on this one’s face. Found this when I got home from yoga – up to his old tricks again …

Good luck on the PET scan. I’m mentally holding your hand.

Thankfully, this is the only thing that entertains Benjamin.

Ha! I love how he walks away and tries to look dignified. 🙂

Well, I guess that’s one way for you to avoid hundreds of people asking how it went and offering to electronically hold your hand – till you want to barf with the stress of everything… sneak in and do it under the radar.
Of course now we’re all going to ask how it went and so on.
Cat looks snug as a bug in a duvet. My dog’s taken to sleeping on top of the back of the sofa, wrapped in a blankie. This means he’s simultaneously able to bark at anyone that DARES to walk in our street and is thus visible in the window, yet be close to the radiator and be even more snuggly. He can’t however get up there himself, so he asks to be lifted.
Sigh.

Benjamin woke me at some unGodly hour of the wee-smalls scratching on this Rococo-esque wall decoration I have above the bed. It’s only been there for 5 or 6 years and he just noticed it and had to try and knock it down at 3am… Then he woke me up repeatedly by tearing bits of the tape off a box that he has been using to nap in which is on one corner of the bed. By the time I got up this morning, all the tape was gone or all smooshy with cat-spit and the side of the box was ripped open (because, of course, he is too big for said box.
How did it go, az?

I came home to a kitchen floor puddled with water, an overturned pitcher and two completely innocent expressions. They get you coming and going.

I seriously need to get a kitten for Azar … he’s become even more demanding than usual since Sunny died and wants to play ALL THE TIME these days. Doesn’t seem to realise he’s almost 15. And now that the scan has come back clean I feel like I can maybe take a chance on this new long-term investment.
Yeah, I know they wreak havoc, but it all part of the deal. It actually makes me sad to think that the next time I buy sheets they won’t get ripped to smithereens because I would happily trade unripped sheets for a chance to hold my Sunny bunny again.
