I quite like purple. It’s one of my three accent colours for clothes (the other two are red and green). Other than that I only wear white/cream and black.

Don’t think they’re heather or thistles. Would need to see close-up to be sure but those purple flowers remind me of one of the smaller alliums – chives. Bees seem to love them.
The flower heads on leeks – same family -are so spectacular that I always make J leave some to go to seed.
