Loki is Dialogue Cat!
How is Azar with his thermally absorptive black coat holding up in the heat?

I swear I saw “digestive” instead of “absorptive”…

Yes, Loki normally has a LOT to say, but was so hot he could barely manage a few tired chirrups. Adorable though, isn’t he?
Azar mostly hangs out on my bed next to the open balcony door. He’s just wasted with the heat and, ever since his mystery illness, seems suddenly much older. Ah well, he’s getting plenty of snibbles and – his favourite! – lots of brushings. As soon as he sees the brush he goes all kittenish, spinning around with delight, darling boy that he is. And he still comes up for his nightly cuddle when I get into bed, even though after a few minutes he decides it’s too darn hot for this sort of thing and goes back to facing the open door.
Hungry, Mudhooks?

My Patricia Twinkle chirruped and practically went into heat for the brush, all her life.

One has to keep the parts cool, eh? I know how he feels… 😉
Benjamin tried to climb in the fridge AND the freezer the other day (we have a side-by-side). It was quite a sight because not only was he trying to get in but the freezer was spewing condensed air by the bucketful you could barely see him. I wish I had had my camera with me at that moment. It hasn’t been hot enough to really have a lot of condensation since then.

Loki always sprawls out like that, either face up or on his belly. I think his legs are so long it’s the only way to lie down comfortably without having a whole whack of bony legs under him.
And he is also fascinated with the fridge. I may take out a couple of those freezer packs and see if he likes cuddling up to those (wrapped in a towel, of course, so he doesn’t get “freezer burn”).

A very talkative cat. And for some reason I love the way his ear twitches around the 18s mark.
TRiG.

One day I’ll have to catch him in a really talkative mood – he really loves chatting. You can see a bit of it here… (of course they never talk when you want them to!) A much smaller Loki chattering brieflly.
