That photo was taken when I lived across the street. Sunny was about Loki’s age and always getting into mischief, but this could have been quite dangerous. The washing machine was actually out on the terrace and when I went back inside to get more clothes to fill it up Sunny decided it seemed like a great place to hide out. Ever since then I’ve always double-checked the washing machine before turning it on.
He did look kind of cute in there though, and it did make me laugh…
I think it’s an instinctive denning behavior. Cats are not hereditarily pack animals, so it’s just that much more important for them to find a small den that they can snug away in.
That is xsorta funny — and happens a lot. What a clever little beast he was — hey, he was looking for a warm place, wasn’t he? Doesn’t get much warmer…
Funny picture indeed 😀
I wonder why my cat never goes into the washing machine. Ah well, she has other cosy and forbidden places to snug away in, sigh.
The punch line is, I think, “Thump Thump Thump”
Oops – I’m a catophobe in the midst of catophiles. *slinks away quietly”

I always keep the dryer door closed because of this possibility.

I don’t have a cat, so I don’t understand why they love getting in the washer. And boxes. Why do they do that?
