OMG! I have just got hooked on a tv programme that’s been running for 8 years! If there is anyone other than me who has never seen QI, it’s a BBC quiz show hosted by the super fabby Stephen Fry (heh, he’s one of my followers on Twitter).
Apparently QI is a 26-year-long project with each series covering topics that begin with a different letter of the alphabet. So instead of “series 1” the first series is called “series A” and so forth. I wonder if they will keep going until the end of the alphabet.
The other day I was looking at getting a new Blu-Ray player to replace my 12-year-old DVD player. A slightly more expensive model had a WiFi option so I could watch YouTube stuff on the telly and I thought “pah! don’t need that!”. Now I’m not so sure, especially as QI and lots of other older programmes can be found on YouTube these days. Technology, eh?

Go for Wifi.
I have an Apple-TV connected to my telly. It’s handy to watch youtube on à bigger screen as well as listen to internet radio, my iTunes library, watching my gazillion cat photos – best screen saver 🙂 – possibility to rent movies etc. I can also easy connect it to the iPad.

Yes, the more I think about it the more it makes sense to go with the WiFi version. Now I just have to wait until FNAC does another of their special member’s discount days where I get an extra 10% off. I just missed one last week – darn!

I love QI. I’m reading the books on my kindle at the moment, I’m on the Second Book of General Ignorance. Although the books are more about the info and less about the humour, they do have little bits at the end of some chapters giving some funny comments made by the teams.

I’ve never seen QI, will look out for it though. At the moment I’m watching Masterchef Australia Season 4, also online. I’m totally addicted. My company bought a larger computer screen. Very necessary for eh… my working place? 😉
