This week’s Friday Foto Finder challenge is “stream”
The river Darro that runs through the centre of Granada was originally named after the Roman word for gold (aurus) because people used to pan for gold on its banks. This name was then changed by the Arabs to Hadarro and was later renamed Dauro by the Christians. It finally became known as Darro. As you can see, these days it’s little more than a stream.
