The other day I was having a cold beer in a new bar. I was checking it out in case I should review it and it turns out I won’t be, in no small part due to the annoying AF “slow smooth jazz pop” soundtrack not nearly far enough in the background. When did this awfulness start? It sucks the life out of every song it touches (we were unfortunate enough to experience Beat It getting this treatment – it was not nice). Anyhow I was trying to remember what this crap reminded me of and – of course! – it was the fabulous Rick Moranis (SCTV) turning pop hits into slimy lounge lizard croons, and this was one of the best.
