Ha! Very glad I didn’t stumble into the Desert Of Clients Ghosting Me until I was already at a point where I wanted to pare down and work a semi-retirement schedule, but it’s still sad when it happens with people who’ve been seeing you regularly for ten or even twenty years and trusting you with every detail of their lives (massage therapists are like bartenders and hairdressers, people tell us everything). And of course you can’t call up and ask “Was it something I said?” because in the end it’s still a transactional relationship. Most of the people who didn’t answer my e-mail after we were all vaccinated and I went back to work probably thought I was asking too much when I said everyone still had to mask. Well, it means I know who came from the “mina del buen cliente.”

Well you know… PEOPLE. Friends have been dropping like flies around me since covid and it’s a bit like the “mina del buenos amigos” now… and I actually prefer it.
