Got any favourite photos you’d like to share?
I come across so many wonderful photos whilst wandering around the blogosphere that I thought it would be a nice idea to create a photo gallery for some of our favourite ones.
I’ve started the album off with a few photos to get it going – you can find it here … mosaic
People who would like to contribute to the project can email me with their photo(s) and description(s) and I will upload them to the gallery. If you want to link back to either another photo site or blog just send me that information and I’ll add the link under the description. Also, check out the tags feature next to each photo and let me know if you would like a tag link included.
The photos don’t have to be your own, but of course I can’t post them if they are copyright protected. A description of the photo, bit of history, would also be nice and can be copied and pasted under the photo title.
If this takes off I’ll look into getting it more organised – perhaps in alphabetical order of contributor’s names? Anyhow, any and all suggestions are quite welcome. I just thought this would be a fun thing to do and so let me know what you think. đ

I guess I should get some of my favorite photos uploaded over this weekend. It sure is nice of you to start a project like this! I’ll post links to a couple of favorites once I get them up- some of them will need to be scanned first!!
I think this is a fantastic idea and it sounds like it would be a heck of a lot of fun. I enjoy seeing other people’s photos very much!

Well, as I said, I see so many great photos all over the place on various blogs and so getting some of them put together in an album would not only be quite special but the description under the photo would also provide a link back to the blog or photo site it originated from.

Hi az, not sure whether we’ve chatted before on H2 but like sound of your photo project. I’ve recently started this site, {link attached} to put some of my fave pics plus some other stuff. I’m trying to get into web design properly, just a bungling amateur at the moment. I’ll bookmark this project and see how it goes.

What about the name? I changed it from ‘casa az photo gallery’ because I didn’t want it to be specifically associated with me or this blog as I prefer to think of it as more of a community project.
I like the idea of the gallery being a mosaic made up of many different influences from all over the world.
Any other name suggestions?

I’ve changed the set up of the gallery to be a file with separate albums for different subjects like people, pets, places, plants & flowers, artwork, wildlife, etc., like this.
What do you think?

I love the different albums in the gallery. I think that’s a great idea!
I would love to upload and share some of my various vacation photos, but I’m having trouble getting the scanner to work (and I can’t locate the CD with my photos from London and Paris!). Luckily, I still have the whole weekend to work at it… I tend to lose patience rather quickly and abandon otherwise neat projects.

I’ve just mentioned the tags feature in the original post (only discovered it myself this morning). It’s found next to each photo and if you choose to have a tag, when you click on it you can see all of your photos on one page. So if you’d like a tag next to your photos just let me know when you send them in.
