It’s my turn!
I’ve been sniffling and sneezing for the past two days and my eyeballs feel like they are way too big for their sockets…
I used to always get my ‘annual Christmas cold’ between Christmas and New Year, though for the last two years I haven’t had a cold at all. Guess it’s about time. And it’s actually not bad timing as it should be gone by Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, as I am not a man with a cold I won’t be stopping by with fifteen-minute updates. ๐
No, she’ll expect me to do it ๐
Chicken soup tonight, whether she wants it or not.

Buy those kleenexes with lotion. They feel much better than the scratchy ones.

Hope you’re on the mend soon, az. Enjoy that chicken soup. When I have a cold, I usually drop a bit of horseradish in the soup and stir it in really well. It helps with the inflammed, stuffy sinuses.
Be well soon.

Don’t forget to make strange snuffly groany noises. It’s one of the minor pleasures of having a cold, letting everyone know about it. (Works for me, anyway.)

Well, I would but I’m not a man, remember? ๐

Kleenex with lotion? I’ve never heard of those – not sure if they’re available in Spain. At the moment I’m in bed rapidly using up a roll of quite soft toilet paper.
The chicken soup was hot and soothing. No horseradish but I did add extra crushed chilis to my lunchtime pasta to help clear the ol’ sinuses.
Think I’ll do boiled lemons and honey tomorrow (it was suggested to me today).

I’ve a cold too. No snotiness, but at the weekend I felt like a damp dishrag and wanted to lie down the whole time. In my household, colds are allowed to interfere with midweek housework, but don’t give you a get-out for having to schlep around town on windy, rainy days. Apparently.

I’ve done boiled lemons and honey and it sure makes me feel better. Another thing I like to do is rub a little camphor on my feet and then slip on some comfy socks. It makes me sweat like crazy, and seems to make me feel better overall.

I forgot to buy lemons yesterday … but I’m mostly okay now. Not sneezing like a sneezy-thing anymore at least. But still slightly snuffly. No big deal.
Your cold sounded more like a body cold, Edward – I find those are much harder to deal with. Everything aches all the time. It seems I mostly had a head cold with a bit of a sore throat.
Almost back to normal …

Glad to hear it- and hope you’re all back to normal really quickly!
I also have a hard time dealing with those whole-body colds. Those colds are the ones that aggravate my asthma and make everything hurt, even bits I didn’t know could hurt.

Glad you’re over your cold, az! And I’m sorry I didn’t see this sooner (blush).
” Kleenex with lotion? ”
Yes, truly it has lotion — and don’t use them to clean your glasses! The smears will never come off — or at least for a very long time! GAAAA
