That item is horribly, horribly accurate… 😀

So glad I’m not a writer…
I often get the feeling that the ones who should’ve given up made it, and some good ones gave up. So many times, I buy books and have to throw them at the wall — don’t believe in burning them, you know. 😉

That reminds me of one of Dorothy Parker’s book reviews – ‘This is not a book to be tossed aside lightly. It should be hurled with great force.’ 😀
I have a heap of books that I think are absolute rubbish. I might leave them at the local charity shop rather than trying to sell them; I can’t imagine keeping a straight face when asking an actual bookseller to give me money for them.

I know that feeling- I once left a bag of them in a newspaper dispenser-box rather than bring them to the thrift shop and risk not making a clean getaway.

Love that Dorothy Parker quote. 🙂

This seems to happen in almost every walk of life – mediocre sells way more than exquisite. Don’t ask me why.

Something to do with appealing to the lowest common denominator, I suspect.
