This new blog was inspired by my recent post about pre-prepared food. I’ve been enjoying the conversations, suggestions and recipes there so much that I thought a separate more organised blog would help keep it going. Otherwise once it slips off the front page here it will probably get lost forever in the backlog.
So please feel free to drop by with comments and suggestions. π
I’ve done a bit more work on the set-up now, and so any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
It’s been quite fun getting it all organised. I don’t expect it to be a fast moving!!! blog, but I think collecting favourite recipes and discussing them, as well as other food topics, could not only be enjoyable but could also build up a useful resourse over a period of time.

I love it! I’m always looking for new stuff to try. And while I enjoy sharing my own concoctions, I find that the recipes drop off the front page fairly quickly. Thanks for setting up such a valuable resource.

yes I agree, I think it’s great.
I agree it won’t be fast moving and it doesn’t need to be. Just a slowly evolving excellent cooking library made by people who love food and cooking.
PS I’m going to try the chorizo and lentil thing next weekend.

Has anyone got any spare server space to host my Flaming Pie archive? 200+ recipes that were the precursor to http://flamingpiecafe.blogspot.com

Where is the archive? Why not just open a new WordPress blog and transfer everything over, then link to it on your Cafe blog? I can put a link to the archives on the 24-hour diner blog as well – there is already a link to the Flaming Pie Cafe over there.
The diner is not specifically a ‘recipe blog’ – it’s more a fantasy diner concept where people can find all their favourite foods prepared just the way they like them. So the focus is on the favourite meals of the patrons, not just recipes in general.
I’m also thinking of installing a juke box, which could be quite fun. π

Okay – the casa az 24-hour diner jukebox has now been installed. π
I expect it will end up being a rather eclectic mix of stuff – to go along with the menu.

Ed – email me if you want to put it on thesamovar.net. If you send me the zipped HTML it’ll take me all of 5 minutes to set it up.

Dan to the rescue! Yay!
Perhaps I misunderstood, Edward – is the archive the same as the Flaming Pie blog or is it something apart?
