He’s such a big old softie…

The catbed matches his colours.
The abundance of spare beds in my living room at the moment have provided the cats with new sleeping spots.
Putte and Ishta reluctantly share their present favourite sleeping spot with DJ. It’s quite fun to see two cats and a grown up son squeezing in a rather tiny foldable bed 🙂

Our cats treat everything that way as well. Including the humans. Mme Metro was wondering why she was suffering night sweats. It was I who revealed to her that the black cat, who used to curl up and sleep on her hip as a kitten, continues the habit as a 20-pound cat.
Nabi did this in the early mornings, we knew, along with squatting my bedspace as soon as I moved out of it. But Mme of course had no idea that she was being thus used even as she slept.

He looks great! Really comfy, lazing in the sun 🙂 Nice that he got round to using the new bed eventually!

Metro, a few years ago when I had three cats, living on my own and sleeping in a single bed, I often woke up in various pretzel-like positions to find that the three beasts had found comfy places for them during the night which caused me to contort my body to fit where they wanted to be.
Then I got a double bed and things got a lot more comfortable.
Then Nog moved in and it was pretzel time again.
Then my precious cranky Lua died, which freed up a bit more bed space but finally Nog & I had to splash out for a king-size bed. And weirdly or otherwise, the boys still have to lie exactly where they will be most annoying.
Yeah, the kitch cat bed was mostly for me as I thought it was quite funny … but the boys are finally getting to enjoy it. Though they would never spend the night there. It’s more of a siesta bed.

truce, Sunny lives up to his name by following sunbeams all over the livingroom in the morning – it’s very cute.
Soon we’re going to have to start lowering the blinds in the morning so the place doesn’t heat up too much during the summer, but at least for another month or so Sunny should be able to enjoy chasing sunbeams. 🙂

How cute he is there… Odd that neither of them perches facing the nominal front of the fish.
My cats have taken to perching in just one corner of the bed at night; during the day, they lay whereever the heck they like on the duvet. They really like the duvet — soft and squishy.

Well, this bed has definitely been commandeered by the Sunster. Aside from that one photo op with Azar, the little guy hasn’t been on it again. But Sunny sits on it every day now (yes, always facing the same way).
Perhaps I should try a scratching post next?

Hmmmm, would it cut down on the wars, I’m wondering? It’d be a good way to decrease aggression, maybe — get one of the ones which has some dangly toy to bat at? ‘Course, then they might just fight over who gets to bat the toy… 😉
