Gaaaaa I hate sewing!!!
Which may come as a surprise to those of you who have seen this place, but of course I have very talented seamstresses who sew the production for that – though I do sweat blood making up the first samples myself.
Anyhow, it is not only sandal weather but it turns out it is also suddenly no longer light jacket or sweater weather. Which means I’ve got to seriously revamp the summer wardrobe that sadly didn’t get revamped last year.
Which means I’ve got to sew myself some clothes!!!
*waits for the inspiration to come and visit*
Mmm, can’t help you with inspiration I’m afraid. Except for to say that sandal weather calls for serious attention to feet before being attempted!

Oh, I know. I always have ‘happy feet’ (bright red toenails) during sandal season. 🙂
As I am trying to lose weight I don’t want to make too many new ‘super-size’ things, but I’m going to need a few basics.
With the HEAT here I find that I prefer strappy loose cotton or linen dresses so that I am comfortable at home. Though I won’t show my ‘jamones’ (upper arms) in public so light short-sleeved tops are needed, which also come in handy if I end up somewhere overly air-conditioned.
Finding fabric is always a problem here as I hate wearing anything synthetic.

You’re in luck — think of those strappy little empire waist sundresses from a couple of decades ago? (yeah, I know – decades! [yikes])
They’re baaaccccckkkkk…
Seriously, though, the fashion rags are full of ’em. I always liked them, as they cover a multitude of sins, and cheesburgers, and fries…and still look cute.
