Scrabble is the favourite game at casa az.
And to further feed my addiction I have recently started playing online on a website called Scrabulous. There are several options but the one I like best is playing by email so that you and your victim opponent don’t need to be online at the same time and that people can play at their leisure.
At the moment I’ve got three games on the go, as well as an unfinished one with Nog here. It’s like a dream come true! So if anyone would like to have a game with me just click on ’email scrabble’ on the Scrabulous website, then click on ‘play with a family member or friend’. Make sure you put your own name and email address first. Then make your first move and I’ll get an email telling me it’s my turn .
You can find my email address on the sidebar.
A worthy opponent has appeared! 🙂

Well, if swedish is OK I’m up for a round of Alfapet 😉

The only problem there, dq, is that if you play in Swedish and I play in Spanish most of our words will be deemed *not valid* .
What spare time Dan? It wasn’t ME that kept you up until 5am last night. I was fast asleep just after 3am (2am your time).
Though I must say that at least one of our games is burgeoning. 😛

Don’t you mean OHO or OY?
Meanwhile, have hit another brick wall. Think these two games will be yours.

Well, all I can say is … I hope Dan isn’t going to put up pics of all the games. 😕
But honestly, what was I supposed to do with I V I I U A I??? And in the second game I had 3 Ts and 2 Ds and no vowels for about six goes (till I swapped letters).
Still, they were pretty good scores and just barely a creaming. 🙂

Bwahahaha, a double creaming!
Still, we both kicked ass on the those two games: 403-339 and 414-336.
Not quite championship level (I think you need a typical combined score of 800-900 to be at that level), but not at all bad.

Well dern – Dan was just about to leap into the lead for a winning finish and the stupid software went all wonky and showed his final score as being only 80 points (when in fact it was 402 – mine was 382).
That’ll teach him for going out with a seven-letter word. 😉
But seriously, it does seem that the software for this has a few bugs here and there. More than somewhat frustrating at times . . .

I’ll email them about the two bugs we’ve run up against. I looked at their blog and it looked like they were listening and responding to feedback.

I’ve just challenged Nog to a game of email scrabble. Which isn’t as silly as it may sound. In fact, as we don’t usually finish a game in one sitting, it’s quite practical because we don’t have to find a safe place (out of cat’s reach) to put the board. I do miss the feel of the tiles, though.
Dan and I have been enjoying a few good games, though the last one was quite dire (and no, I don’t want to talk about it).
I’ve also been playing scrabble with Lori on Facebook.
Anyone else? 🙂
