From the BBC: Your Potter stories in 100 words
Ahead of the publication of the seventh and final Harry Potter book, we have been asking avid Harry Potter fans to tell the entire story of the six books so far in 100 words or fewer.
More than a thousand people wrote in, and the standard of entries was so high that the muggles on the Entertainment team had to choose six entries, instead of the original five.
I actually thought some of the ones that were posted in the original ‘challenge’ article (which I now can’t find) were better than the six entries chosen here.
Fancy having a go? ![]()

Potted Harry for beginners
I actually forgot to have my pre-ordered copy of book 7 sent from Amazon yesterday, so I just did that now. Hope it comes soon and that in the meantime I donβt see it at Fnac at a cheaper price.

I don’t think I could ever get a job with Reader’s Digest Condensed Books! π
That’s about one word per 30 pages – Yikes!

A bit too long winded for them, Archie?
Just saw The Book in Fnac for 27 euros. The one I’m getting from Amazon cost 9 pounds, so even with the exchange and postage it still ends up much cheaper.
Apparently it’s been shipped so it should be here by the end of the week. I sure hope I get to finish reading it before coming across any spoilers…

Meanwhile, the ‘Harry Potter for beginners’ article quite proved useful because books 4,5 & 6 are all kind of a blur to me, so at least now I’ve got the facts straight.
Book 3 is still my favourite. π
