Well, the approximate time. Lua’s four kittens were born between 10-11 am and there was no way of telling them apart. That pic is of Sunny just after we moved from Salamanca to Sevilla – he was 6 weeks old. I can’t believe he was ever that small.
And now as I write he is almost exactly 14 years old. Big lovable hunk o’ dude that he is.
Here are some BIRTHday photos…
Give the old fella a big hug from me then.

Big hug duly delivered. I shall assume his response was ‘squirms of delight’ and not let go of me you daft woman, it’s about five thousand degrees in here! 🙂

…and another one from me!
We had a celebration in the Lair yesterday. It was a year since Putte was adopted from the shelter, and – for the first time – he climbed into my lap and slept there for almost 20 minutes!

Wow, that’s amazing dq. Bet that made you feel very special.
When I took Azar in from the street it was 3 months before he’d even let me touch him!
But Sunny was born practically into my hands – I was picking up and cuddling all the kittens as soon as Lua had got them cleaned up.
I didn’t realise they’d be born all white so there was no way of telling them apart until they started to ‘colour in’ a bit. Then, because Mis (the father) was Burman, the kittens all ended up with differnt numbers of white toes. Sunny had the most white toes and I decided he was the one I was keeping after they started walking because he’d always be waiting by the door for me when I came home, bless him.
There was actually a queue of people wanting one of Lua’s kittens so the other three went to good homes – one went to live with Mis and the other two with friends of mine in Salamanca.
I was just sorry I wasn’t able to keep them longer but I had already put off my move to Sevilla until they were 6 weeks old and couldn’t wait any longer – 8 weeks would have been better, I think.
