I re-stumbled upon Stumbleupon this morning . . .
I actually signed up there last July but never got around to doing anything with it, mostly because I wasn’t keen on having another toolbar on my page. But today I had another look at it after I found a ‘referrer’ coming from there, and it looks like it could be fun. Like yeah, as if I don’t already spend too much time online. 
Anyhow, one of the first things I stumbled upon was this great web-radio thing called Musicovery … which now means that I’m going to have to attach some proper speakers to SB. But some of the music there is fab!
So I’m still quite a Stumbleupon novice. Can anyone give me any tips on how best to use it? Or even how you use it and what your experiences there have been like?

Ah, stumbling…the true crack of the Internet. Or is it like a bag of chips? “Just one more won’t hurt me!”
There really isn’t much trick to using it — just train it to know what you like. Every time you get a new webpage, make sure you ‘vote’ on the site, in very short order, you’ll get fewer sites you don’t like and loads you do, as it compares your opinions with other users’, and voila! You’re good to go.
If you run across a site on your own that you really like, click “I like it!” and you may be the first Stumbler there, and write a quick review — they’ll add it to the rotation.
I’ll add you to my friends — although I don’t use the social aspect of the thing at all, even though it does tell you people who liked the same sites as you, which could be good possible friends…but I haven’t gone there.

I need coffee. (And when my PC starts delivering it to me, I’m not stepping back through the monitor looking glass into reality at all.

Oh, I am so glad you are Stumbling. I have so much fun adding friends, finding new sites and learning new things. Plus, the traffic to my own blog has been nothing less than phenomenal. I will totally be adding you to my friends list. I am kmunse!

StumbleUpon? I’m on there somewhere too… the id is well whats in my URL. lol. I’ve got no use for it now but I used it as a second blogroll with my old theme. I’m not fussed about stumbling really because it rarely works for me, but I do use it when I’m bored. lol.
At least its better than Delicious! 🙂

Sorry for the confusion but the name ‘azahar’ was taken when I signed up in July, and I decided I just didn’t like seeing a number there beside my name so I changed it.

I had also forgotten that I’d signed up there last July until I checked my email files.
Yeah, I did that ‘find people on stumbleupon’ using my email address book. Hope that’s not annoying. Of course, I did that before I changed accounts (duh) so now if people add ‘azahar7’ to their list after getting the email, they’ll then have to add ‘azaharSevilla’ and delete the first one.
I actually stumbled upon quite a few interesting websites yesterday afternoon, some of which I’ll probably end up blogging at some point.

I got your invite, but haven’t gotten around to checking out the site. I have had internet issues for a while now, that very mysteriously were resolved yesterday right before the technician was supposed to call to arrange a time to come and fix things. Grrrr…

Yeah, that’s because I’ve got to add you as a friend too after you’ve accepted the invitation – which is now done. 🙂
And yes, you can delete the azahar7 one (just go to that page and click on ‘remove as friend’).

One complaint … crap theme colours. I’m trying out the sixth or seventh one now – a medium grey with yellow text. Why can’t they do a pale orange or green?
