My friend Dawn sent me an email this morning in which she had made a total elf of herself, and so the gang at casa az has done likewise (click on the pic to check out just how well us elves can boogie on down – and make sure you have the speakers turned on).
Elf Yourself is brought to you by Office Max . . . and for those of you who may not be feeling particularly festive there is also a Scrooge Yourself version.
They may take awhile to load, so be patient …

very endearing pictures.
But I’m having a hard time buying that it’s you in a cold climate.

Didn’t you click on them to see the totally groovy-kewl dancing???

I can’t click on them; a friend sent me them and I found them truly disturbing 😉 Something about the unmoving face…

Really? I guess Azar looking a bit like an alien (had to crop the ears off) probably doesn’t help. 🙂
Have you tried the Scrooge one? That looks kinda creepy to me. In the elf one I just think we look somewhat demented.

you are a much better dancer than nog 🙂

I STILL can’t get it to load. And yes, I had patience- 5 minutes and the thing just looks like a blank piece of paper. aaaaarrrrggghhh. I’ll try it on the PC at work.
The pics look intriguing, I don’t remember dancing at the Irish Pub… 🙂

You don’t? Shall I send you the photos or post them here? 😉
Yeah, the loading thing is weird. Sometimes it takes awhile, other times it starts up right away.
I think the best dancer of the bunch is Azar, nursemyra, but yes, I’m much better than Nog. 🙂

I can’t quite bring myself to elf us, due to an aversion to the perkiness, so perhaps scrooging myself would better suit me.
Also, this has nothing to do with elves (at least not a plausible connection), but I wanted to let you know I nominated a post of yours to the November Just Posts.

Scrooge is quite light on his pins there, alejna … and you wouldn’t have to worry about being overly perky.
Aha, that’s where the Just Post incoming links came from. Thanks for the nomination, though I hate to think of anyone coming here looking for deep and meaningful content and then finding the casa az elf chorus …

Am at home now, and able to click on and start the fancy footwork. Very, very funny — although yes, there is something almost unnerving about bodies so supple, moving so gracefully, with eyes trained on you without moving.
You know how staring at a cat is a sign of hostility? (For cats, looking away is a sign that ‘we are comfortable with each other’.)
Staring eyes are hunting eyes in cat-think, and I have to say there was an eerie quality in those unblinking eyes with such nimble bodies.

I made you do it, FFE? This doesn’t really surprise me as my mind-control powers are legend. A few years ago on h2g2 the az cabal cult was created in response to a certain trollish type there (going by the name of Apple at that time) who kept accusing me of having power over the editors and other members of h2g2.
The secret to my success as High Priestess of the cabal was telling everyone that wearing a tinfoil hat would protect them from my mind control waves, but of course this only enhanced reception. 😉
