Ian, you missed the ‘pee wars’ … which resulted in getting plastic-backed protective covers for both the sofa and the bed. So it’s not unheard of for me to put up with a loved one peeing on my furniture.

Weighing in on the “trainable” young ones, I just have to say that I am way past wanting to train a young one, even with a gag on him. Personally, I’d rather have an experienced one that no longer needs training so I can just enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. What exactly are the advantages of the young ones again?
